Radiation

Kismet collects environmental radiation data from supported Geiger counters, such as the Radiacode and Radview.

Never rely on radiation data presented by Kismet for personal safety.

Radiation sensors

DESC

Radiation data from Geiger counter datasources, such as the Radiacode and Radview.

Count and dose history is kept as RRD (round robin database) records, reporting the past 60 seconds, the past hour per minute, and the past day per hour; see the RRD documentation. The aggregated energy spectrum is kept for the number of samples set by geiger_spectrum_history (by default 86400).

Radiation data is also logged to the kismetdb log as RADIATION snapshots, and sent to the eventbus.

PARAMETERS

This endpoint takes additional parameters by using a `POST` request and supplying a JSON document or json form variable.

You can find more information about API parameters here.

fields field simplification OPTIONAL

Kismet can reduce the amount of information being processed and returned by an API by simplifying the fields to only return the data needed by the caller.

You can read more about the field simplification API and how to use it here.

RETURN

JSON object keyed by datasource UUID, of sensor records:

FieldContent
radiation.sensor.typeSensor type, Radview or Radiacode
radiation.sensor.datasourceDatasource record
radiation.sensor.cps_rrdRRD of counts per second
radiation.sensor.usv_rrdRRD of dose rate, in microsieverts per hour, for sensors which report it
radiation.sensor.aggregate_spectrumAggregated energy spectrum, for sensors which report it
radiation.sensor.aggregate_spectrum_startTimestamp of the first spectrum sample
radiation.sensor.aggregate_spectrum_endTimestamp of the last spectrum sample
