Channels
Channel summary
Returns a summary of channels with observed traffic and devices, device counts per channel, and total channel coverage information.
Records are listed both by channel name (kismet.channeltracker.channel_map) and by
frequency in kHz (kismet.channeltracker.frequency_map), for every phy that reports a
frequency. Each record holds kismet.channelrec.channel, kismet.channelrec.frequency,
the last signal seen (kismet.channelrec.signal), and three RRDs covering the last
minute (per second), hour (per minute), and day (per hour):

The hour and day values are the average per second over each minute or hour. Before 2026-10-R1, packet and data counts were averaged rather than added up, so they read as about 1 per busy second, and device counts dropped each time the channels were read.
