Kismet stable and newcore developments dr Ramping up towards a release of Kismet-Stable. If you have patches, now is the time to get them to me if you want them to appear. Stable and Newcore have both gotten the beginning of support for Darwin on modern cards. Thanks to help from Kevin Finisterre, Atheros-based (ie, Intel) Macs will work with source type 'darwin'. No broadcom or USB support -- yet. It's being worked on. [ Update - No data capture, only LLC, this is a limitation of the driver currently ] Newcore also no longer requires gpsd for GPS - setting gpstype to 'serial' and providing a path to your tty will let Kismet parse NMEA itself. I intend to write a gpsd emulator layer soon to allow kismet to function as gpsd for other programs which need access to the GPS. Hopefully removing this dependency will make things easier for people. Expect the newcore gui to get closer to completion once the layout engine is written. Had been hoping to avoid writing one, but it's looking like it will be necessary.
